Reflecting on the Lastday Key:
1. Jesus places The Sign of Seal Six "in the days after great tribulation." This is the basic fact for determining the order of events in Revelation. Many "Charts" place Seal Six in the first half, or first quarter, of Daniel's 70th Seven. As a consequence, they stretch the Day of the Lord over a period of years. Jesus states He will appear on this Day of twelve hours ... after The Sign. Mark 13:24,27; Matt.24:29,30.
2. Martyrs are the central focus in Revelation's Three-Act Temple Drama. On the Lastday, during the Middle Path hour of a great quake in Jerusalem, the Two Prophets ascend to heaven as supermen. They will rise up bodily to testify in the Temple Drama.
But first the "great and wonderful sign" appears in Rev.15:1. Joining the last Martyrs in their spirits, the Two Prophets join in singing the Song of Moses to God while their bodies lie dead in Jerusalem. The 144,000 sing the Song of the Lamb. The Lamb has just reaped the wicked to "the Winepress of great anger." This scene ends the Outer Path events.
Then the Two Prophets arise for the Testimony of the Tabernacle of the Temple which opens for the Middle Path's Temple Drama. Rev.15:5. It had been closed, being filled with the smoke of God's glory and power, until the last Plague emptied in midair. Rev.15:8.
3. Act One: The Martyrs, 144,000 Firstfruit and all the Saints in heaven praise God and the Lamb. The Two Prophets, having risen bodily, join them to praise God and the Lamb. The time has come to avenge the Martyrs' blood. The Lamb has rescued the 144,000 from Mt. Zion just before the Drama begins. After the songs of Moses and the Lamb, they and all the Saints praise God and the Lamb by name in heaven's open Temple.
4. Act Two: The Lamb opens Seal Seven. Martyrs are the prime subjects at the Tribunal. The Scroll opens with all the Saints present for the Tribunal of Seal Seven and Daniel Seven. Rev.8:1-5, Dan.7:9-27. They review the inner Scroll's evidence against the wicked. The inner Scroll portrays six of seven Trumpet Judgments. When Act Two begins, Six angels have already blown their trumpets. Armies are poised at Armageddon. About a half hour passes to review the evidence and present the incense-filled prayers of Saints to God. The Angel of Fire casts altar-coals of fire to earth to symbolize the Verdict.
5. Act Three: The Drama climaxes with Trump Seven's Triumphs. God's Kingdom Power demonstrated through the Two Prophets becomes God's Kingdom Reign as "Christ is crowned King of kings and Lord of lords. The kingdoms of this world become the Kingdom of our Lord and His Christ. Here Daniel 7 and Seal Seven present the same scene. God's wrath has come and the Time to judge and reward the Saints, destroy the wicked and to give the promised Kingdom to Israel. The Ark of the Covenant appears. The decree of the great voice out of the Temple from the Throne, "It is Done," is about to result in the execution of God's wrath. Rev.11:15-18; Rev.16:17.
6. The Temple Drama follows the Plagues which "complete God's anger." Seal Six, The Sign of the Lastday, continues its warnings during heaven's Temple Drama. What happens in Seal Seven could not occur until the Temple opens after Seal Six on the Lastday. It opens for the Court of Seal Seven's Testimony and Triumph of Trump Seven.
The pivotal verse for moving from the Middle to the Inner Path is Rev.11:19 with the second mention of the Storm Theophany. Only the storm is much more intense and there is great hail. But before the last Plague implodes with a third Storm Theophany to execute God's Decree of Wrath, the Inner Path describes the rejoicing in heaven immediately following the Seventh Trumpet.
The Outer and Middle Path events include Seal Six, all of Rev.7 and 14, Seal Seven and Trump Seven. The Inner Path begins with the rejoicing in heaven at Rev.18:20. The Outer and Middle Paths occur between Rev.16:17 and Rev.16:18. The Outer Path starts with Rev.6:12-17 after Rev.16:12-17. All of these events occur on the Lastday.
7. Armies of Trump Six and Plague six are the main targets of God's wrath. They will be destroyed when Christ appears. The Cup of God's Wrath fills up with God's great anger after the Verdict of Seal Seven and the Coronation of Christ in Trump Seven. By the time of Seals Six and Seven, these armies have killed a third of mankind and the Son of Man has reaped them into God's winepress of great anger. Blood will run to the horses' bridles that day. Rev.14:19,20.
8. The last Plague, suspended in mid-air, anticipates the Lastday's Drama in its entirety. The fulfillment of "blood running to the horses' bridles" waits until Trump Seven sounds, the rejoicing in heaven and Christ's descent. A short time separates Rev.14:19 (the reaping) and Rev.14:20 (the treading). Anger fills the Cup of Wrath (Rev.14:10) after the Reaping and the Tribunal. God's great anger mixes in His Cup of Wrath in Rev.16:18 after the Three-Act Temple Drama. Christ also treads the Winepress with anger- induced- wrath in Rev.19:15. Wrath is announced in Trump Seven ... after Seal 7's Verdict. God executes wrath based on these requirements. They precipitate the implosion of the last Plague's contents as God "remembers" Babylon a second time within 42 months.
The act of killing two billion people by the armies of Trump Six will have just "passed by" as the Temple Drama begins. These armies are poised to destroy Jerusalem when Seal Six opens. The Two Prophets rise up to heaven when Trump Seven is "about to sound." No time exists for the Holocaust of Trump Six after Seals Six and Seven open. Jesus stated The Sign (Seal Six) happens "in the days after the great tribulation." The seven last Plagues will have occurred when Seal Six opens since they are part of the great tribulation. Mark 13:24. Only the last Plague occurs on the Lastday.
With the killing of a third of mankind having taken place, the jury and Angel of Fire base the Verdict on the evidence of six Trumpet judgments. All the Martyrs who petition God base their indictment on God's having "manifested by the last plagues that His deeds are holy and righteous." They make their petition in song at God's Throne before the Temple opens (Rev.15:1-4) ... while it is "filled with the smoke of God's glory." No one, including the 144,000, can appear in the Temple, as they do in Rev.7:9 to Rev.8:5, until the smoke leaves the Temple. The Last Plague suspends in midair while the Martyrs sing before God and appear in the Temple on the Lastday!
Trump Seven pinpoints the Time for God's wrath. It announces the third of three last Woes "has come." Trump Seven sounds within three days after the Two Prophets finish their 1260-day task and suddenly rise up from death with immortal bodies. The third Woe, set to destroy those destroying the earth, follows "quickly." Rev.11:11-18. The Martyrs and the third Woe, to fulfill God's promise to avenge their blood, are vital parts of the Drama of the Lastday.
9. Because God's Decree of Wrath results in the implosion of the last Plague, the Martyrs are avenged after the last one is killed including the Two Prophets who rise up to heaven. God vows to avenge them when the last Martyr dies. Rev.6:9-11. What occurs in Seal Seven and Trump Seven happens after they are all present as witnesses. The Drama follows Trump Six's Holocaust. The Martyrs, clothed in white robes but not yet resurrected, petition God in the Song of Moses while the last Plague hangs in midair.
The Two Prophets join them while their bodies lie in Jerusalem. The 144,000 join them and sing the Song of the Lamb. They are worthy to come on the clouds of heaven with the Lamb to present the Son of Man to the Ancient of Days. They represent the "people of the Saints to whom the kingdom under the whole earth will be given." Dan.7:13,27.
The Drama begins between Seals Six and Seven when all the Saints praise God and the Lamb after the Two Prophets and 144,000 rise up bodily to heaven. It is the appointed KAIROS-TIME for God's wrath. Rev.11:18. Gentile CHRONOS-TIMES climax prior to Trump Seven. Luke 21:24; Rev.10:6-7. "The nations are wrathful and God's Wrath has come and the appointed Time for Christ's Reign, Rewards to the Saints and Retribution on those destroying the earth." The only texts stating God's Wrath has come are found in Seal Six (for the Day) and Trump Seven (for the Hour)...on the Lastday!
The armies of Trump Six and Plague Six come from the "lands of the rising sun." They threaten Israel's existence. They gather to Armageddon after killing a third of mankind. That, said Jesus, is when "He comes like a thief" and blesses Believers who watch with their clothes intact lest they be seen naked. Rev.16:14-16.
These armies refuse to repent being possessed by verbal blasphemies and demonic beings. They cross the Euphrates River from the East. The quarter of earth over which death has power, according to Seal Four, must be the area of earth's peoples destroyed by these armies. (Seal Four does not say a quarter of all mankind dies).
The great quake that kills 7000 men of names in Jerusalem occurs in the same hour. This quake is separate from the plague that strikes a quarter part of earth with fire, smoke and sulfur in one Hour during Trump Six. Rev.9:15. Four angels of the Euphrates River were set for "The Hour, day, month and year" appointed for this Holocaust. Preparation may take months; but death by three deadly elements takes one Hour. God destroys the Armageddons after Christ appears. The "Cup of Wrath" pours out world-quakes during the "Hour of Testing over all the face of all the earth." Rev.3:10; Luke 21:35; Rev.16:18-21.
The Temple Drama takes place prior to the execution of God's Decree of Wrath! The last Plague empties and God's Decree occur in Rev.16:17. It is not evident, on the surface, that the Temple Drama takes place between the last Plague and the execution of God's wrath. But no one enters the Temple for Act One until the last Plague empties. The Martyrs and 144,000 petition God in songs. Rev.15:1-8. The Martyrs base their petition on the last Plagues having proved God is righteous! The Firstfruit of Harvest base their praise on the Lamb having redeemed them first from the earth.
Before Act One and before Seal Six's four great winds strike the sea, land and trees, the 144,000 harvest Firstfruit to God and the Lamb are sealed. The Lamb rescues them on Mt. Zion. They follow Him wherever He goes ... from reaping the wicked into the "Winepress of God's great anger" to escorting them to heaven to "sing a new song which only they learn" and sing before God sitting on His Throne. Rev.14:3; Rev.15:3.
Act Two in the Temple Drama, the Tribunal, is recorded in Seal Seven and in Daniel Seven. The storm theophany climaxes the Drama three times ... beginning with the Court's Verdict. The Court reviews the evidence of six Trumpets after the Martyrs and 144,000 praise God and the Lamb. With God's anger exhausted in the last Plagues, the Court of Seal Seven recaps what Rev.8:6 to Rev.9:21 records. The prayers of every witness to these events ascend to God from the Altar of Fire and Incense. The Angel of Fire renders the Verdict. Rev.8:3-5.
Act Three follows Seal Seven's Verdict. Trump Seven's Triumphs include the Ark of the Covenant. The storm theophany intensifies. The storm theophany reaches its awesome apex in history's greatest series of quakes. Babylon falls, City and System, in aftershocks that destroy earth's mountains and cities. Rev.16:18-20. Mountains, that begin to move out of place when Seal Six opens, utterly disappear as the judgment of Seal Seven and the contents of the last Plague implode.
10. Heaven's Final Scene quickly follows God's Decree of Wrath with great Babylon, the City, falling the second time in 3 1/2 years. Heaven rejoices before global quakes disintegrate the System ... the nations' cities that support the System. Rev.16:18-21.

II. PILOT KEY: Seven Last Plagues empty prior to Seal Six.
Seven Last Plagues empty prior to Seal Six which signals the Day of the Lord has begun. Rev.6:12-17. God waits until all the Martyrs make their Petition. For the Plagues have already manifested His righteous deeds against the wicked. He responds to their song and fulfills His promise. Rev.15:1-4, Rev.6:9-11. All Martyrs join in this final Petition because the last one that "must die has been killed." The 144,000 praise God because not one of them has tasted death.
Seal Six signals the Day of the Lord has come. Isa.13:9,10, Joel 2:31. The Pilot Key concerns the timing for Deliverance and Destruction. The Sign of that Day was given by the prophets and Jesus applies it to the Day He appears. On that Day He gathers the Elect and destroys the wicked. Seven groups admit "God's day of wrath and the wrath of the Lamb has come." Relatively few of today's mainstream scholars agree Seal Six signals the day Christ appears in glory! Our desire is to show that Seal Seal inaugurates the Day of the Lord ... the Lastday.
The Two Prophets are in the spirit in heaven when the last Plague empties in mid-air. They join all the Martyrs to petition God in song. The 144,000 join in the Song of the Lamb. Then the Two Prophets arise bodily and ascend to heaven for the Temple Drama. The Drama occurs while The Sign of Seal Six continues to warn of impending wrath. The Drama begins as the Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony opens. God is about to fulfill His promise to the Martyrs mentioned in Seal Five. Seal Six promises imminent action.
The most striking event indicating Trump Seven is "about to sound" occurs after the world observes the Beast killing God's Two Prophets. Rev.10:7, Rev.11:7. Within three days, the death of the last Martyr fulfills the condition to avenge their blood. The Two Prophets suddenly arise and ascend to heaven and "a great quake strikes Jerusalem within the hour." This is trigger-time for the Lastday Drama in heaven. The sun has already ceased to shine. Armies of Plague Six are gathered to The Armageddon and threaten Israel.
The 7th Plague remains suspended but is about to implode under the forces set loose by Seal Six and the Verdict of Seal Seven. The great quake that precipitated The Sign also strikes Jerusalem to show God's anger is finally exhausted. Rev.6:12, Rev.11:13. The Great and Wonderful Sign of the Seven Angels with the last Plagues justifies the Pilot Key's requirement that all the Plagues must empty before the Day of the Lord begins!
III. TIME KEY:
Countdown Time Ends prior to the Last Plague, Last Martyr, Seal Six and Temple Drama.
The great quake that strikes the Holy City could be the quake that sets off Seal Six. It kills 7000 men of names and Seal Six blots out the sun. But countdown time ends before Six Six opens! Two or three days after day #1260, with Acts One and Two in the Temple having occurred, Act Three follows as Trump Seven "quickly" announces God's wrath has come. The third Woe will "destroy" the wicked. The ascent of the Two Prophets occurs on the Lastday because "every Believer must rise up on that Day" ... less than 3 days after countdown time ends. The world's armies, gathered against Israel, tremble. God's Mystery was finished before Plague Seven suspends in mid-air. The Last Martyr, Seal Six, Seal Seven, Trump Seven, the execution of God's Decree of Wrath and the rejoicing over Babylon's 2nd fall occur "in the days after great tribulation." Then Christ descends!
Time Ends "in the days Trump Seven is about to sound." Unknown time takes over. The 3 1/2 days while the Two Prophets lie dead are among Daniel's 30 days to be "cut short." SEVENTY. "Unknown Time" does not begin until the Two Prophets complete the 1260 days of great tribulation and the Beast kills them! Christ was and still is "about to come" during their "days of death." They are among "those who will not taste death until after God's Kingdom comes in power." Mark 9:1, Rev.12:10.
The Mighty Angel reveals Trump Seven sounds when the Holocaust of Trump Six has "passed by." Rev.11:14. Two billion people have perished over a quarter of the earth in one hour. Rev.9:15. Armies threaten Jerusalem. The Prophets ascend because it is time to avenge the Martyrs. God promises revenge when the last Martyr dies. Rev.6:9-11. The 144,000 are redeemed from earth and sing the Song of the Lamb. These things occur after "God's Mystery was completed as told to the prophets." Rev.10:7. Trump Seven is about to sound during the unknown time after the Two Prophets are killed.
We enumerate the events of the Outer Path that must take place between The Sign and the Temple Drama.
ONE. God allows the pre-determined number of Martyrs to be killed.
TWO. He receives them before the Throne and they indict the wicked in song.
THREE. The Lamb rescues 144,000 from Mt. Zion. These Firstfruit of the living are sealed and accompany the Lamb. (The locusts know who they are during the first woe ... before the 144,000 are actually sealed a second time ... Rev.9:4; Rev.7:1-3.) They sing a new song only they can learn.
FOUR. Three angels flash messages of judgment across the sky. Rev. 14:6-9.
FIVE. The Son of Man reaps the wicked to the Winepress of God's great anger. Rev.14:19.
SIX. The Lamb, the Son of Man, takes the Firstfruit on heaven's clouds to the Ancient of Days. Dan.7:13, Rev.14:3,4.
SEVEN. The Martyrs and 144,000 living Firstfruit sing separate songs before God seated on His Throne. These Outer Path events occur over a sea/river of fire prior to the Temple Drama. Rev.14:2-4; Rev.15:2-4; Dan.7:9,10,13.
Before the Drama begins, the wicked must be reaped to the Winepress of great anger. This fulfills Matt.13:30,41. They are the wicked tares, children of the Devil, who refuse to repent of their evil deeds. They blaspheme God and stand ready to destroy Israel. The earthquake deaths of 7000 "men of names" in Jerusalem and the calamities of Seal Six hold them in abeyance. We place the suspended last Plague, Seal Six, the Petitions in the two songs of Moses and the Lamb and the Praise, Prayers and Pomp of the Temple Drama in that order. Then Plague Seven implodes.
The effects of Seal Six continue as Seal Seven opens the Court proceedings. Trump Seven trumpets its Triumphs with Christ's coronation, His Kingdom reign and the Time for God's wrath and the Saints' rewards announced in the same verse. God's "anger fills the Cup of Wrath." Wrath explodes on Great Babylon first. Earth's "destroyers" continue to blaspheme God as they wait in the Winepress for Wrath's Executioner ... and their hearts faint from fear as God's Cup of Wrath engulfs them. Rev.11:18; Rev.16:21.
The last Martyr triggers the Time Key indicated in Seal Five. Not even the Son of Man knows the Hour to reap the wicked. So He will wait on the white cloud for the command sent from the Throne: "Reap! The Hour to Reap has come." It is fulfilled in the days "immediately after great tribulation ... in the days whenever Trump Seven is about to sound." Rev.14:15, Matt.24:29, Mark 13:24, Rev.10:6,7.
The Martyrs' Petition in Song precedes Temple Drama - Rev.15:1-4
The Time Key is set by God's promise in Seal Five by to avenge the Martyrs when the last one dies. Rev.6:10,11. They sing the song of Moses before the Drama begins. They sing before all the Saints enter the Temple to praise God and the Lamb. Seal Six anticipates Trump Seven which states the appointed Time has come to judge and reward the Saints. Seal Six signals the Lastday occurs after the Two Prophets finish their task, "after the greatest tribulation of time past or time to come." Matt.24:21,29, Mark 13:24.
The last Martyrs die while the bodies of God's Two Prophets lie in a street of Jerusalem. When the latter rise up in the same hour as the great quake, survivors tremble. The great quake strikes Jerusalem before Seal Seven and its rumblings escalate during The Sign of the Lastday. The third Woe comes "quickly." The 144,000 survivors of the great quake "glorify God." Rev.11:13,14. While the Two Prophets lie dead, the Firstfruit of the living will gather on Mt. Zion to be sealed and rescued by the Lamb. Not one of these harvest Firstfruit will die! They are "the Firstfruit unto God and the Lamb." Rev.14:4.
As the Mighty Angel interrupted John's writing about Armageddons gathering for war in Trump Six, so God interrupts the Beast-Worshipers' jamboree over the deaths of the Two Prophets, causing a great quake in Jerusalem and launching Seal Six's warnings of impending wrath. The presence of massive armies adds trauma to the impelling signs of the Day of the Lord. The Flashback of Rev.10:1 to Rev.11:11 shows the part played by the Two Prophets to the End. See V. SEQUENCE KEY. Two voices in unison said John must prophesy again before many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. Rev.10:11.

When the Mighty Angel interrupted John, he had finished writing about the greatest Holocaust of all time. In a Flashback, he was told about the 1260-day task of the Two Prophets and that Woe #2 will have "passed by" when they ascend to heaven. The people of the nations rejoice and exchange gifts while their bodies are refused burial. He and Elijah rise up with the Holocaust just ended. The Holocaust, for which the "year, day, month and hour" has been appointed, sees two billion people massacred. It happens on the verge of the Lastday!
It is not at first clear the Two Prophets arise on the Lastday. The Angel's first message indicates Time Ends when Trump Seven is about to sound. His last message says the final Woe comes "quickly when they arise because the nations are wrathful and His wrath has come." The Holocaust is garish proof that wrath must come quickly.
Only after they arise does John indicate the profoundly "quick" proximity between the great quake and Trump Seven. The "day and hour" set for massive killings over a quarter of the earth has passed by. Time will be no longer when Trump Six passes and the Prophets arise and Trump Seven is about to sound. Millions of soldiers are set up for Armageddon by God and Satan. Rev.9:15, Rev.11:14, Rev.16:16. The great quake strikes Jerusalem and launches the effects of Seal Six, the calamities of the Day of the Lord.
Believers will know the time has come for Jesus to take them to Himself
Believers will not be surprised when Wrath-Time comes for God to destroy millions of soldiers from the East. Signs of impending wrath fill the heavens during the hours of the Lastday. God's promise in Seal Five requires the last Martyrs to arrive in heaven prior to Seal Six as The Sign that the Day has come for God's anger to fill the Cup of Wrath. The Plagues have "completed God's anger." God sits on heaven's Throne under which flows a river of fire until the Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony opens! There is one Throne but the scene changes after the Outer Path of events. God no longer sits on a throne of fire. In the Middle Path of events, He sits on the Temple Throne, the souls from under the Altar stand before Him! They Praise Him and the Lamb. "The Books open ... the Scroll's inner contents are displayed." Then the 7th Trumpet sounds! Dan.7:10,22; Rev.8:1-5; Rev.11:15-18.
The setting for the order of Lastday signs begins with the last Plague suspended in midair. Rev.16:17. The Temple had opened prior to this for the seven angels to exit and empty their Plagues. But opening the Temple for these angels to receive their bowls is not a sufficient reason for the Great and Wonderful Sign that "God's anger was completed." The wicked who rebel against God and seek to destroy Israel after the Holocaust are the cause of the Great, Wonderful Sign and the Petition by the Martyrs ... all of which occur while the last Plague suspends in midair.
Global rebellion demands God's wrath. The Temple clears of smoke because God responds to the Martyrs' indictment of the wicked. The appointed time has come that "all nations should come to Jerusalem to worship the Lord." Rev.15:4, Rev.11:18. The Great and Wonderful Sign alerts the Saints to the judgment due the global rebellion against God during the Plagues. Anticipating this rebellion, the Temple had opened for the angels to exit, but no one could enter while "filled with the smoke of God's power and glory." The Temple Drama follows the Plagues of anger as the warnings of impending wrath continue throughout the hours of Seal Six.
Revelation presents God's Purpose for Wrath.
God's anger seems to pour into the Cup of Wrath before He sends angels to cast the wicked into the Winepress of great anger. Rev.14:10,19. But Rev.14:10 states His Purpose. The blood of millions overflows the winepress vats after the seven Plagues. For Rev.14:20 includes the judgment on the wicked who blaspheme God and refuse to repent to the very end. This is the purpose in filling the vats ... even though symbolically fulfilled five chapters before Christ treads the grapes of wrath. Rev.14:14-19; Rev.19:15-21.
Likewise, Seal Seven's Tribunal arraigns the wicked before the Trumpet judgments describe the evidence of mankind's rebellion and blasphemous opposition to God. The description of Great Babylon's fall occurs before the record of her history can be found. Rev.16:18-21; Rev.17,18. The Martyrs cite the Plagues in Rev.15:1-4 to show that God is holy and true (not after but) before the Angel of Fire reveals the support for their indictment in the Tribunal of Seal Seven. Their song in Rev.15 occurs before the Tribunal of Rev.8. In like manner, the Plagues of Rev.16 provoke the indictment against the wicked in Rev.8. Plagues provide the evidence for condemning them to Hell ... after their refusal to repent in the sixth Trumpet! Indeed, they refuse to repent during God's wrath!
The Evidence shows the wicked are incorrigible and God's patient anger was exhausted. The nations are wrathful. The last Martyr arrives. The Plagues in Rev.16 document God's righteous deeds as ground upon which the Martyrs base their Petition in Rev.15. Seal Six's celestial omens of wrath begin 13 chapters before the Lamb treads the grapes of wrath ... both on the same day! All this results from God's promise in Seal Five to avenge the Martyrs when all those who must die are killed.
The key word "whenever," in Seal Seven, instead of "when" as in the first six Seals, throws light on the timing of events that depend on unknown factors. The Endtime begins and "Antichrist is revealed whenever he stands in the Temple. God's Mystery ends whenever (otan) His Two Olive Trees finish their task. Time ends whenever Trump Seven is about to sound." Matt.24:15,21, Rev.11:7, Rev.10:6,7. Seal Seven is God's response to His promise in Seal Five "whenever" the last Martyr dies. Rev.8:1. "Whenever" God's multiple responses to their Petition sees all the Saints "praising God and the Lamb," the Seventh Seal opens. The Tribunal of Seal Seven presents the same scene as Daniel 7:9-25. Trump Seven and Dan.7:26,27 reveal the consequences ... on the same day!
The word WHENEVER, indicating the time is uncertain, introduces Seal 7 because its evidence leads to the Hour of Testing and climaxes the warnings of Seal 6. Plague 7, suspended in mid-air, implodes and God pours out His anger mixed in the Cup of Wrath. Rev.14:10, Rev.16:18. While the Court remains in session, God's Wrath is withheld.
Anger mixes in the Cup of Wrath at Seal Seven's Verdict. Seal Six is set as The Sign of that Day in the "same Hour" the Two Prophets arise and the last Martyr dies. The Lamb opens Seal Seven "whenever" all factors are in place for the Tribunal ... while warnings of Seal Six continue. The Martyrs sing the Song of Moses and the 144,000 Firstfruit to God and the Lamb sing the Song of the Lamb. Presenting them to God after reaping the wicked to the Winepress of great anger constitutes the Son of Man's final act before Heaven's Temple opens! They present Him likewise to the Ancient of Days for His Coronation!
Seal Seven opens after the Temple opens and all the Saints praise God and the Lamb for their salvation. Seals Six and Seven and Trump Seven lead to the unknown Hour of Christ's Presence during which He executes God's Decree of Wrath. Seal Six initially relates to keeping God's Old Testament promises about the Day of the Lord. Its warnings intensify until Wrath explodes for the HOUR OF TESTING. The full effects of Seal Six and God's Cup of Wrath overlap the Hour of Testing and Judgment. Rev.3:10; Rev.14:7.
We must apply the expected "unknown Day" to The Sign! That is why it is "Near" until and "when" the sun ceases to shine. The "whenever" of Seal Seven applies to the unknown Hour when Believers are to be avenged after enduring to the End. That Hour applies to the Son of Man waiting on a white cloud for three angels from heaven's Temple with the message: "Reap. The Hour to reap has come." Rev.14:15.
Waiting for that command is a commentary on the Time Key. Seal Seven's "whenever" sees the Scroll open for the Tribunal and then the Triumphs of Trump Seven and the imminent execution of the Decree: "It is Done, the End has Come." During the gap between the last Plague emptied in midair and the Cup's poured out anger and Wrath, Seal Six unveils the awesomeness of God's power and overwhelming display of His glory.
This Hour sees the wicked imprisoned in the Winepress of great anger under a shroud of darkness and four fierce winds. Jesus states the Hour occurs after The Sign. He knows the Hour to Reap occurs after the last Martyr. He waits until the last Martyr purchased by His blood reaches heaven before receiving the message to reap the wicked.
This TIME KEY is most challenging because it reveals why Jesus said the Hour was known only to the Father. It helps us understand why the Wedding of the Lamb is announced after the last members of His Bride are killed but before "He raises up every believer on the last day ... and gathers His Elect from earth to heaven in the days AFTER the great tribulation." John 6:39,40, Mark 13:24,27; Rev.10:7; Rev.11:18.
Christ is crowned and given authority to include the last Martyr in His glorious heavenly entourage. For He also prayed that every one given Him by the Father might behold His glory. He did not pray that the Father take them out of the world in advance. John 17:15.
IV. ENDTIME KEY
Having considered Lastday events, let us return to the start of the 42-month Endtime. Endtime events are determined by FIVE CATALYSTS. They launch the judgments that cover 3 1/2 years. The number of days, 1290, covered by these events will be cut short by 30 days. The Catalysts are not found in chronological order. The order is determined by the Ten Keys to Revelation. Here are the five Catalysts.

CATALYST #1. Ten Kings destroy Babylon by fire at Mid-Week. Rev.17:16. This is God's purpose. Rev.18:8. They receive "power as kings at one Hour with the Beast. Rev.17:12. God puts into their minds to agree and to give their power and authority to the Beast." Rev.17:17.
Revelation is not written in sequential order. All five Catalysts occur at the same time. But #1 involves Babylon's first fall by fire and occurs after the description of her second fall by earth's greatest quake. It is clear that Rev.17:16 and Rev.18:8 (first fall) is found after but occurs before Rev.16:18,19 (second fall). The first fall, literally by fire, is also described in symbol by the "Beast that was carrying the Woman." Rev.17:7,8,11. That first fall terminates the rule of the City and unseats the Woman carried by the Beast, but it does not terminate the Babylonian System. It is confiscated by the Ten Kings.
The second fall, literally by earthquake in Rev.16:19, is also described symbolically by the great millstone cast into the sea in Rev.18:21-24. Babylon's "short" rule occurs prior to the Endtime. Rev.17:10. The Beast, which was carrying the Woman but is personified as one of the FIVE CATALYSTS, incorporates her global Network of power. Rev.17:11. Her first fall occurs at mid-point of Daniel's Week #70. The Beast, as a person, takes over the global System to begin the Endtime. Babylon is a seventh king. The BEAST, personified as an eighth king, launches the Endtime through the combined power and authority of these Ten Kings who fulfill God's purpose! Rev.17:17.
BABYLON'S fall is alluded to in two paradoxical statements: "One of the heads on the Beast was wounded as it were to death and the deadly wound was healed." Rev.13:3. And "The Beast was, is not, yet is." Rev.17:8,11. These paradoxes present the twofold existence of the Seventh World Empire ... first under Great Babylon, then under the Evil Trio: Satan, the Beast and False Prophet. A sudden catastrophic event occurs after BABYLON rules for a short time. Ten Kings destroy the City by fire in one hour. This is the first of five Catalysts occurring at about the same time. Rev.17:16, Rev.18:10,17,19.
CATALYST #2. War in Heaven results in Satan's eviction. Confined to earth for the Endtime, Revelation verifies the time by its only reference to "time, times and half a time." Dan.7:25, Dan.12:7, Rev.12:7-14. This is where we see Daniel's 1290 days cut short to 1260. Rev.12:6. Michael casts Satan from heaven as Daniel predicted. Rev.12:7-10; Dan.12:1. John identifies Satan's short time of 42 months to empower the Beast. See "DANIEL" and "NO. SEVENTY" for discovering the secret that the 1290 days point to 30-day months for both the 69 Sevens and the 70th Seven.
The 1260 days are the 42 months of Rev.13:5 and the time for more Endtime Catalysts, God's Kingdom Power demonstrated by the Two Prophets who feed the 144,000 in the desert. Rev.12:6; Rev.11:3. When this occurs, Satan knows his time is short. Rev.12:12. What Satan knows, Believers will also know for the start of the Endtime countdown.
Michael wins the war in heaven and forcibly evicts Satan and his angels. Satan comes to earth in great anger because he knows his time is short. Rev.12:12. He empowers the Beast that was "wounded" in its seventh head. Its 7th head, healed, becomes an 8th king. The wounding and healing are symbolic. But Satan indwells a person who is himself called the Beast. The Beast changes from an Entity representing world power (symbolically) under Babylon to the Person who fulfills the role of Antichrist. This change ("wounding and healing") coincides with Satan's eviction from heaven and the Beast's ascent from the Abyss. The Beast comes up from the Abyss when the Ten Kings destroy Great Babylon. Rev.13:3,4, Rev.17:8,11.
Satan sought to kill Christ at His birth. A Double Perspective of Satan's goal appears in Rev.12. First, to kill the seed of the Woman at Jesus' birth. Second, to kill the remnant and those of her seed during the Endtime. Rev.12:4,5,17. Satan brought his angels to earth to kill Jesus at birth. In seeking to kill Him, the physical seed of the Woman, Herod killed all the babies. Jesus was taken to heaven and "is about to rule the nations ... when God's Kingdom comes in power and Elijah comes to restore all things." Rev.12:5,10, Matt.17:11.
This word "about" is Endtime relevant because Jesus must "remain in heaven until the times for restoring all things." Acts 3:21. We also note there are two stages in the restoration of all things ... one being that under Elijah as one of the Two Prophets. Jesus predicted, after John the Baptist died, that "Elijah will restore all things." Matt.17:11. By this knowledge we understand the Endtime as a necessary preparation for the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel. Jesus Himself points to this for the Lastday when Israel, not the Elect believers, beholds Jesus appearing in the clouds and begs for mercy. Luke 21:31,36.
Satan, evicted from heaven, indwells the Beast and, having failed to destroy the Woman in his anger (Rev.12:13-16), turns in wrath to destroy the "rest of the seed of the Woman who keep the word of Jesus Christ" during the great tribulation. Rev.12:17. That seed is the Church with whom "the judgment of God must begin." I Pet.4:17. It does not include the yet unredeemed remnant of Jews who embrace Christ when He appears in heaven on the Lastday. However, the 144,000 Israelis who flee to the desert will be "protected and fed by the Two Prophets for 1260 days" until the 7th Trumpet is about to sound. God's Two Prophets have "power to perform any plague they wish." Rev.12:6,14, Rev.11:3-6.
This catalyst is at the very center of the entire text of Revelation's 404 verses. Verse #202, Rev.12:8, reveals that no place or time remains for Satan to access heaven. This agrees with Dan.12:1 and Rev.12:7 that the Endtime begins as a direct result of the War in Heaven between Michael, "who stands guard over the sons of Daniel's people," and Satan whom he casts out with his angels. "Many will be purged or purified and refined." Dan.12:10,11; Rev.12:10,11.
CATALYST #3. Antichrist breaks the Covenant and sets up the Abomination in the Temple. As the Red Horseman of the Apocalypse, he takes peace from earth and persecutes all who refuse to worship him. Rev.6:4; Rev.13:8; Rev.17:8. This results from Satan being cast from heaven and giving his power to Antichrist. It also results from Ten Kings giving their power and authority to him after they destroy Babylon. The Ten Kings "eat the Harlot's flesh" by confiscating the global System set in place by Great Babylon. God's purpose lets these Ten continue until "the words of God are fulfilled." Dan.9:27b, Rev.17:16,17.
CATALYST #4. The Now of God's Kingdom Power fulfills Christ's Mission Mandate. "Now," after Satan's banishment from heaven and Babylon's fall and the broken 7-year Covenant, "the Kingdom of God comes in Power and with Christ's authority." When Daniel's Endtime is Here, we will know Christ is ABOUT TO COME in glory. His Mission Mandate is that "some will by no means taste death until after He comes in Kingdom Power" through the Two Prophets. Matt.16:27,28, Mark 9:1, Rev.12:10,11.
NOW we see the concentric focus of the five Catalysts about which all of Revelation revolves. The Three Concentric Paths for events of the Lastday emerge from the crises of Endtime forces. This central passage of four verses in Rev.12:7-10, purposefully and textually, lays out the final conflict between God and Satan with the battle being waged for the hearts of mankind. God's two Prophets and Satan's two Beasts make war for and against the rest of the Woman's seed for 42 months. Vividly delineated from Rev.12:12 to Rev.13:18, we are struck by what Scriptures describe as causing "rejoicing in heaven and bringing woe to the inhabitants of earth." Rev.12:12.
The conflict rages 42 months in the greatest tribulation of all time. God's Two Kingdom Power Prophets oppose Antichrist and set things right among His people before Christ comes. Just as one swore to Daniel in the Creator's name that Time would end after a final three and a half times, so the Mighty Angel swore to John in the Creator's name that Time will end "in the days Trump Seven is about to sound." Dan.12:5-7, Rev.10:5-7.
CATALYST #5. Two Prophets fulfill the Mandate of God's Kingdom Power. "Elijah comes and will restore all things." Matt.17:11. Predicted by the Mighty Angel, the Two Prophets carry out the Mandate to stand as the Two Olive Trees before the God of earth. They are among the "some" who will taste death after Christ comes in Kingdom Power. Mark 9:1, Zech.4:3-14, Rev.11:3-11. The two branches, being redeemed Israel and the Church, are united only when the full number of Gentiles are grafted into the natural Olive Tree. The Two Prophets, with Elijah representing OT Saints and John representing Church Saints, fulfill their task and rise up on the Lastday. Rev.11:12, Rom.11:22,25.
V. SEQUENCE KEY: Embedded in Four Flashbacks
The Five Catalysts that begin the 42 month Endtime are found in Flashbacks. Each Flashback climaxes with events of the Lastday. This is demonstrated as follows:
FLASHBACK #1 - Rev.10,11.
John had finished writing about the Holocaust of Trump Six that kills a third of mankind just before the world's armies, mainly from the lands of the rising sun, cross the Euphrates River. They are about to enter the Holy Land to make war against the Lamb. Rev.17:14. The next event would be that of the 6th Plague during which these armies are set for battle at The Armageddon. Suddenly, the Mighty Angel interrupts John and takes him back to the time for John's future task as one of the Two Endtime Prophets.
God counters Satan and the Beast by sending His Two Prophets to activate His Kingdom Power until the Beast kills them. The conflict up to the last Martyr determines the End. The Prophets participate in the Song of Moses to God while lying dead in a street of Jerusalem. They arise bodily on the Day of the Lord's anger-filled-wrath to participate in the Testimony of Act One, the Tribunal of Act Two, Seal Seven, and the Triumph of Act Three, Trump Seven.
This Flashback climaxes with Act Three of the Temple Drama, Christ's coronation to reign with the Saints and the people of the Saints over all the kingdoms under the whole heaven. Dan.7:27; Rev.11:15-17. The Mighty Angel had interrupted John at the point of the Holocaust inferno that blights a quarter of the earth and kills two billion people. Time, the Mystery of God, the Two Prophets' task and the millions set to destroy Israel and the nations ... all reach a climax "in the days of Trump Seven as Trump Six has just passed by." Rev.10:6,7, Rev.11:12-14.
FLASHBACK #2 - Rev.12-14.
Here the conflict on earth between God and Satan does not end at Jesus' birth. It resumes and climaxes with what is "about to come." Rev.12:5. Verse six jumps forward to the Endtime when earth-bound Satan and the "NOW of God's Kingdom Power and Christ's Authority" meet in open ended conflict as of Rev.12:12 to Rev.13:18. The "NOW-TIME" is anticipated in verse six and continued in verse 14 to show that what is "about to occur" refers to the Endtime Sign given by Jesus in Matt.24:15; Mark 13:14.
The events of 40 verses in the Outer Path on the Lastday are included in this Flashback. The Hour to Reap occurs with the Son of Man reaping the wicked to the "Winepress of God's great anger." The Firstfruit of the living harvest are rescued, taken to heaven to sing the Song of the Lamb and to present the Son of Man to the Ancient of Days. The action of Rev.14 occurs on one of the 3 days after time ends! Mark 13:24; Rev.10:7.
*Babylon's second fall is also announced (Rev.14:7) as one of three messages of impending doom fill the sky ... following the 42 months of Rev.13. Scripture's most infernal picture of Hell reveals the destiny of Beast-Worshipers. Blessing "from this day forward" is given to those who have "died in the Lord." The Son of Man reaps the wicked to the Winepress of great anger as the Firstfruit, having been "redeemed from earth," are about to present Him to the Ancient of Days. The presentation culminates Outer Path events.
FLASHBACK #3 - Rev.15,16.
Here the Martyrs' Petition and Firstfruits' Presentation of the Son of Man bring them into the presence of the Ancient of Days. The Plagues must complete God's patient anger prior to the Temple Drama. The Temple, filled with the smoke of God's power and glory, prevents the Martyrs and 144,000 from entering the Temple until the Last Plague empties. Rev.15:8. Their songs underscore the evidence from the seven last Plagues which have already emptied. The warnings of Seal Six have already begun to cause seven classes of men to acknowledge the Day (but not yet the Hour) of God's and the Lamb's wrath has come. Rev.6:15-17. The Petition in their songs show the wicked are guilty. They present the Lamb, the Son of Man, as alone worthy to be crowned King of kings.
This results in escalating the warnings of impending wrath which have already begun with the great quake of Seal Six. Rev.6:12-17, Rev.16:18-21. These warnings had just been expressed by three angels sent from heaven's Temple to announce the Hour of God's Judgment had come. Luke describes the fears that overcome mankind just before the Son of Man appears. Luke 21:25,26
But first the Temple opens for the Three Act Drama as God responds to their songs. That is what happens as soon as they finish singing their songs and presenting the Son of Man to God sitting on the Throne over a river/sea of fire (The Outer Path). The songs are precipitated by the Plagues having "exhausted God's anger" (The New Jerusalem Bible). His "long-anger; Greek" is about to give way to the predicted anger-filled Cup of Wrath. Rev.14:10; Rev.16:19. Only then will the global System of Babylon the Great drink the dregs of God's Cup of Wrath.
God executes His wrath following the Seventh Plague, Seventh Seal and Seventh Trumpet. At this point we enter the Middle Path for the Temple Drama. From the last Plague suspended in mid-air with its resulting Decree out of the Temple from the Throne in Rev.16:17, to the Angel of Fire's sentence by fire in Seal Seven, we must insert the 40 verses of the Outer Path and 18 of 22 verses of the Middle Path. The Angel of Fire renders the Court's Verdict in Seal Seven by casting hot coals off the altar to earth. In the last four verses of the Middle Path, the Victories of Trump Seven are proclaimed! Rev.11:15-18. This symbol of hot coals shows when God's exhausted anger actually fills His Cup of Wrath. Rev.14:10; Rev.16:19.
The guilty verdict symbolized by the coals of fire requires the Plagues to have already manifested the wicked in total rebellion against God's truth and holiness. That's why the Trial opens after the Plagues "complete His anger." The wicked refuse to repent during the Plagues and even during the wrath. Rev.16:21. The Evil Trio gathers them from all nations to destroy Christ. Rev.16:12-16. God is in the details of destruction. Rev.17:17.
The Last Plague hangs in midair until God's anger boils over the hot coals of evidence presented in the open Scroll of Seal Seven ... "whenever it is broken." The Temple Drama reveals the climax. At God's Decree, the End has come. But it takes 100 verses to describe the End. Trump Seven sounds in Triumph. History's greatest quake fells Great Babylon. "Heaven, the Prophets, Apostles and the Saints rejoice with words that echo their prayers." Rev.18:20, Rev.19:1-3, Rev.6:10. Flashback #3, Rev.15-16, singularly sets the stage for the Drama. The evidence demands God's Cup of wrath be forthcoming.
We are forced to insert the Temple Drama between Rev.16:17 and Rev.16:18, from the context itself. The depth of destruction described in Rev.16:18-21 is too great and far reaching for anyone to survive by hiding as men are able to do at the onset of that Day. This Day of the Lord is acknowledged in Seal Six as having begun. The description of human reaction to signs of the Day of wrath sees men blaspheming God as cities and mountains begin to disappear and islands move away. It results in loss of life "wherever eagles gather above" to devour human flesh. Only those "willing to die may preserve their lives." Matt.24:28, Rev.19:17-21, Luke 17:33,37.
FLASHBACK #4 - Rev.17,18
This shows the role of Great Babylon since the Tower of Babel and the confusion of tongues before Abraham. Her role as the professed "restrainer of evil forces" ceases at the onset of the Endtime conflict. Antichrist takes peace from earth (Seal Two; See Babylon Chapter). Babylon's fall by fire at Midweek sees her System confiscated by the Evil Trio: Satan, Beast and False Prophet. Satan has power over all the earth 42 months. Rev.13:5. Flashbacks 3 and 4 end with her fall literally by earthquake and symbolically by a great millstone. Rev.16:19, Rev.18:21.
Flashback #4 has Two Stages. Here Rev.14:7,8 anticipates the second stage of a double retribution. Rev.18:5,6 calls for the double retribution. The first stage takes place by fire at the hands of Ten Kings. Her fall by fire at Midweek is one of five Endtime Catalysts by which we will know the End is Near. Rev.17:12 to Rev.18:19. Her second fall sees cities and mountains destroyed during the Hour of Judgment. Great blocks of hail occur on the Lastday ... ending two Flashbacks sections. Rev.11:19, Rev.16:21.
The Sign of the Day of the Lord is not part of a Flashback because that Sign and God's Decree signals "the End has come." So Rev.6:12-17 follows Rev.16:12-17. We will know the End is Near by the Five Catalysts and the time allotted for the Endtime. The Two Prophets fulfill the number of days required by Flashbacks 1 and 2 (Rev.11:3; Rev.13:5). These two flashbacks add many details to Lastday coordinates. The Two Prophets rise up and ascend, a great quake kills 7000 in a tenth of Jerusalem, earth's peoples are terrified, the remnant glorify God and the Holocaust has "passed by." Before the announcements of Trump Seven show the End has come, the Lamb rescues 144,000 living Firstfruit and takes them to heaven after the Lamb breaks Seal Six. All four Flashbacks come to a climax on the Lastday.
*God's Decree coming out of the Temple from the Throne in Flashback #3 closes with the severest expression of the storm theophany. Rev.16:18. The wrathful execution of the Decree, following the Temple Drama, separates two back to back bursts of the storm theophany. Rev.11:19, Rev.16:18. These are the pivotal verses that introduce the Inner Path of events on the Lastday.
While the Drama intersects Rev.16:17 and Rev.16:18, the storm theophany immediately escalates, back to back, from a great quake to history's greatest! The word order in the second and third theophanies (Rev.11:19; Rev.16:18) changes dramatically at the end of Act Three ... for the execution of God's Decree: "The End has come." First Theophany: Act Two - Seal Seven - Rev.8:5. Second: Act Three - Trump Seven - Rev.11:19. Third: Decree of Wrath Executed - Rev.16:18.
The Richter scale cannot measure the force of the quake. The aftershocks extend around the global perimeters prone to quakes. Great hail adds to the horrors after Trump Seven's Triumph and its declaration that God's wrath has come. Trump Seven authorizes the execution of God's Decree. These two storm theophanies, back to back, indicate the close proximity between Trump Seven and the pouring out of the Cup of Wrath.
Again, the quake is history's greatest as the Mighty Angel casts a giant boulder into the sea at the execution of Wrath's Decree. Great hail and global quakes fill the "HOUR OF TESTING." Luke 21:35, Rev.3:10. Anger churns with wrath as these elements combine and cascade like great waters rushing toward the wicked huddled at the precipice of eternity.
This is the meaning of the "new" compound mix of anger and wrath exploding on all mankind after Acts Two and Three ... detonated like a giant Tsunami by the Mighty Angel's great millstone. The nations rebelling against God drink the dregs of the wine of Wrath's Cup. Great aftershocks destroy cities and mountains and move every island out of place! The City and System called Great Babylon goes up in smoke forever and ever. Rev.19:3.
What evil is it that runs through the course of CHURCH history as it did in Israel? The idolatry in the Church through the centuries leads to Mystery Babylon the Great. She was the Mystery at work in the first century. Revelation points to two stages in the climactic judgment on this false System. The Almighty does not remove the faithful Church in order to instigate the Endtime. Removing the false Church, one of the five Catalysts, is not enough either. It takes all five Catalysts to produce the Endtime catastrophes.

Most outlines of Revelation present three series set in chronological order. There are Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets and Seven Plagues. Obviously, there is an orderly sequence of events within each of these series. Each series climaxes with the Lastday. Four Flashbacks provide details regarding the climax of these events.
Each of these three series of seven climaxes with the Key Phrase. The storm theophany prevents each series from being separate after the sequential order within each series. The last Plague precedes Lastday events which fill the gap between Rev.16:17 and Rev.16:18. They are like concentric circles in which each series comes to a climax on the Lastday.
A change in the Key Phrase (storm theophany) climaxes the Temple Drama with "voices, thunders, lightning and a quake." Rev.8:5, Rev.11:19, Rev.16:18. Each shows that God's Mystery was finished. The word order in the third Key Phrase shows flashes of lightning first and then thunderbolts along with great hail and devastating quakes. Only moments separate these storm theophanies in Seal Seven, Trump Seven and the execution of God's Decree. The Key Phrase changes the words each time to show anger's escalation and wrath's climactic character!
The climax of each Flashback shows Revelation is not structured in an orderly sequence of events. The Angel took John back from the edge of Time's End for the first Flashback. This was done to show John the Two Prophets' task ends at the time Trump Six's Holocaust exterminates two billion people.
Luke shows what happens on the Lastday causes Israel to know their kingdom and their redemption are near. This knowledge, according to the prophets and Luke, comes to them with The Sign of the Day of the Lord. Luke 21:24,25,28,31. The Sign launches the Lastday after Daniel's 70th Seven has been completed. Gentile Times end before that Sign. The Lastday occurs after the Prophets finish their 1260-day task. Rev.11:1-3,7,11.
Believers know God's Mystery was finished, and time itself, in the days two billion are killed by millions of soldiers from the East. They know the armies must invade Israel before the Two Prophets rise up. Rev.10:6,7, Rev.11:12-14. All Believers rise up on the Lastday including the Two Prophets and 144,000 Firstfruit. John 6:39,40, I Cor.15:23.
VI. TRANSLATION KEY: God's patience ends prior to Cup of Wrath
The Plagues neither express nor exhaust God's wrath. The last Plagues "complete God's anger." The Translation Key forces the Drama after the Last Plague of anger. God's time to execute wrath is set by the Last Martyr and events following the Seventh Plague.
The mixing of anger with wrath is veiled in many translations by mixing "wrath with indignation" as in the KJV or "wrath with anger" in the NASB of Rev.14:10. Wrath is an ingredient with fatal consequences for eternity. Plagues are not necessarily fatal. The idea of Plagues completing God's wrath (Rev.15:1, Rev.16:1) and of wrath filling the Cup of Anger (Rev.14:10, KJV, NASB) was a result of Plato's influence on the beliefs of CHURCH FATHERS. Their idea of God's Wrath saw Him too exalted to be affected by the "human proclivity to anger."
It is critical to show the Cup of Wrath pouring out its deadly mixture after the Temple Drama as well as after the last Plague empties. The New Jerusalem Bible and Greek Texts require the Plagues to "complete God's anger." Baker did so for the KJV text translated in 1897 and Zondervan's (by Alfred Marshall) did so for the KJV in 1958.
Modern translations also present the last Plagues as "completing God's wrath." The reason for this anomaly took some research. Cambridge Platonists, influenced by Origen and Augustine, never attributed "anger" to God. (The Dictionary of the Apostolic Church by James Hastings, Scribners, 1916, P.63). Plato taught that God was too exalted to be affected by human emotions. Augustine rejected much of Platonism, but not this idea which led to translating thumos as "wrath" instead of "anger."
The Vulgate substituted Latin "longsuffering" (long-animus) in place of "long-anger" for the Greek (macro-thumos). The NASB mixes wrath with His "anger." That is opposite to the Greek text. The New Century Bible mixes "anger in the Cup of anger." That fails to show that it takes God's wrath alone to bring punishment for all eternity.
Augustine did not wish to lower the divine nature by subjecting Him to the level of human frailty. Nor by allowing sinful beings to break in on His bliss. The City of God (Book 15; Ch.25) speaks of "God's anger not influencing His mind or disturbing His unchangeable tranquility." God is not subject to tantrums; but Augustine failed to allow patient anger of a longstanding nature as one of His perfections.
Time-wise, the Plagues precede Seal Six. Its warnings of wrath continue after all the Martyrs make their Petition to God based on the Plagues. Wrath is based on evidence from Six Trumpet Judgments displayed in Seal Seven. The Plagues cannot "complete God's wrath" but show they complete His anger and evoke His wrath on the wicked. The wicked do not experience God's wrath until the last Plague implodes. This fact is hidden in English translations ... with the exception of The New Jerusalem Bible: "The seven last Plagues exhaust God's anger" Rev.15:1. The "Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church" is a correct statement, but not because it occurs prior to the Seven Last Plagues!
A STORM THEOPHANY climaxes Act Two, Act Three and the time to execute the Decree coming out of the Temple from the Throne. This Key Phrase occurs in rapid sequence after Seal Seven and repeats twice after Trump Seven sounds. Wrath is symbolized by the Mighty Angel casting a millstone into the sea. Rev.18:21-24. God's "great anger" reaches its highest point as three angels are sent from heaven to the Son of Man waiting on the white cloud to reap the wicked. The Two Prophets join the other martyrs and a Great and Wonderful sign appears in heaven. The Lamb returns to heaven from reaping the wicked and 144,000 Firstfruit present Him to the "Ancient of Days." Then all the Martyrs join all the Saints in praising God and the Lamb by name.
The third Key Phrase expresses the violent explosion of history's greatest quake. It occurs after the Testimony, Tribunal and Triumph of the Temple Drama as the Mighty Angel casts a great millstone into the sea. The End has come: "It has Occurred." Rev.16:17, Zondervan's Parallel Grk-Eng. N.T. by Alfred Marshall in 1958.
ACT TWO'S STORM THEOPHANY. The Lamb opens Seal Seven to display six of the seven Trumpet judgments recorded in the inner Scroll that opens after the multitudes praise God and the Lamb. The incense and prayers of all the Saints ascend to God from the Altar of Fire. The Angel of Fire casts coals off the Altar to earth. This symbolizes the Court's Verdict and signals the time for God's Wrath. The complete Key Phrase, including an earthquake, occurs here first. It is not quite as threatening with peals of thunder preceding the flashes of lightning. But Act Three follows Rev.8:5 immediately.
ACT THREE'S STORM THEOPHANY. This is climactic following the edict in the 7th Trumpet that "God's wrath has come." The storm theophany wording changes so that flashes of lightning precede the peals of thunder. It is more threatening. A great voice comes out of the Temple after God's great anger fills Wrath's Cup. The execution of God's Decree follows all three Acts of praise, prayers and pomp with Christ crowned because "Kairos-Time for God's wrath has come" as of the 7th Trumpet. Rev.11:18.
The Key Phrase changes dramatically with history's greatest quake. God's anger and wrath combine with explosive repercussions in every corner of the globe. The Great Harlot drinks the deadly dregs of wine and her smoke rises up forever and ever. Aftershocks from the quake destroy earth's cities around the perimeters of earth's faults.
The last Plague and Decree of Wrath appear in the same verse. The Plagues complete God's purpose respecting the wicked prior to His wrath. But they blaspheme until the very end. Rev.16:21. God's Mystery is finished and they are reaped to the "Winepress of His great anger" until Christ appears and they rot in their tracks. Rev.14:19, Zech. 14:12. The Decree determines their execution during the "Hour of Testing" that follows.
There is also a time-phrase in Revelation that relates to what occurs in the Temple. Twice John used the phrase: "After these things, I saw and Behold! " First, when he was taken to heaven "in spirit" for his visions. Rev.4:1. Second, after the Prophets return to heaven bodily and the great multitudes out of tribulation appear for the Three Act Drama. Rev.15:5 and Rev.7:9. This phrase, "after these things I saw and Behold," is as important as the Key Phrase to reveal the Lastday climax centers in the Three-Act Temple Drama.
Time-wise, this time-phrase occurs first (after Rev.4:1) in Rev.15:5 as the Temple opens (Baker's Greek text of 1897 and the KJV includes "behold," but modern texts omit "behold" in Rev.15:5). The Temple Drama follows the emptying of the last Plague, the Petition in songs and this peremptory phrase: "After these things, I saw and behold."
The Key Phrase and Time-Phrase force the Lastday Drama to take place between the last Plague suspended in midair and execution of the Decree found in two verses! Rev.16:17 and Rev.16:19. The force of God's anger-induced-wrath implodes Plague 7 in midair. Its devastating contents include history's greatest quake and its aftershocks.
The Key Phrase climaxes Seal Seven's Verdict and Trump Seven's Victories and launches History's greatest super-quakes and tsunami ocean waves. The Key Phrase reflects the promise of revenge in Seal Five, the need for judgment displayed in six Trumpets and the holiness and truth of God in the last Plagues.
The Martyrs' Petition is to Seal Six's calamities what the Scroll's evidence is to Seal Seven's Verdict. The Ark is to Trump Seven's Victory what Christ's Coronation is to God's resplendent glory. They are about to be manifested when the 7th Plague empties.
Time yields to God's purpose. Martyrs are no longer Victims. The Plagues show man's rebellion is critical to Seal Seven's Verdict for God's act of Wrath. The Cup of anger and wrath quickly follows Trump Seven's crowning Victory.
The Key Phrase indicates the Temple Drama causes the dramatic change from burning anger to anger filling the Cup of Wrath. The Cup contains the deadly potion mixed after the unmitigated rebellion of millions during the Plagues. The repetition of the Key Phrase reveals the increasing intensity of God's anger until it explodes. Flashes of lightning come quicker, the rumblings roar louder and the thunders clap harder. Wrath provokes global quakes as the wicked wither and rot in their tracks.
Plagues antagonize the enemy and provoke unplumbed evils. The Altar is so incensed during the Plagues that it actually speaks of God's holiness and truth. Wicked men continue in their devil worship and murders and fornications and thefts and lies. Christ will destroy them during the "Hour of Judgment." Rev.16:7, Rev.14:7.
The Decree's execution fulfills the promise to the multitudes in Seal Five. It follows their Petition in Song, their Praise in Act One, their Prayers in Act Two and heaven's only announcement, in Act Three, that "God's Wrath has come." These Acts produce the critical mass for God's irreversible Wrath. Earth's armies are ripe for Judgment. All earth-dwellers face the HOUR OF TESTING coming as a snare over all the face of all the earth. Luke 21:35, Rev.3:10.
VIII TEXT KEY: Lastday events are confined to 100 verses.
The Pre-Endtime Scenario and Prophetic Endtime Events employ 250 verses from Rev.6:1 to Rev.20:6. Events of the Lastday take 100 verses or 40 percent of these verses. Add 44 verses of Pre-Endtime events and 106 of Endtime events for 150 more verses. Thus Endtime and Lastday events of 206 verses total 82 percent of the prophetic text of 250 verses.
Endtime events begin with Antichrist taking peace from earth in Seal Two. The Endtime includes Seal Two through Seal Five, six of the seven last Plagues and six of the Seven Trumpets. Lastday events include Seals 6 and 7, the Last Plague and the 7th Trumpet. The Lastday's 100 verses cover more than twenty major events on that day. One verse other than these 100 refers to the expectation of Christ's coming during the Endtime as well as the Hour He appears on the Lastday. The Blessing of this verse, Rev.16:15, must be added to the 250 verses but I do not count that verse because its "blessing" belongs to both Endtime events and the 22 major events of the Lastday.
Revelation has 404 verses. The two central verses, numbers 202 and 203, are Rev.12:8,9. These verses, like that of Dan.12:1, reveal one of the five Catalysts that launch Endtime events. These two verses, among others, begin the Endtime scenario.
Michael, the angel who "stands guard for the descendants of Daniel's people, will make war in heaven against the Devil and his angels and will prevail. No more place will be found for Satan." This War in Heaven means Satan will never again be allowed into heaven to accuse the Saints. That event has not yet occurred.
Banished from heaven forever, Satan will persecute Christians and the remaining descendants of Daniel even though the latter are not Believers. He knows only a third of Israel will come through the fires of persecution. Zech.13:9. The short time in which Satan asserts his power actually accomplishes God's purposes and is limited to the 3 1/2-year Endtime and its 106 verses prior to the Lastday. Dan.7:25; Dan.12:7,11; Rev.12:14.
However, another of five Endtime catalysts, hidden within the Pre- Endtime Scenario of 44 verses shown in the chart below, brings the rule of Babylon to a sudden halt. Her first fall takes place by fire. Rev.17:12-14,16; Rev.18:8-19. Key #IV shows this Catalyst of Ten Kings and their "Hour of Power" with the Beast by having destroyed Babylon.
