Meditation 9

My basic PREMISE for study: We will know the End is Near when we know the Endtime has begun with the abomination sitting in the Temple. Matt.24:15,33. A second Premise: Events in Revelation are not presented in chronological order. A third Premise requires two Pre-Endtime signs to be fulfilled before the Endtime can begin.

In Athens, Paul preached on Mars’ Hill on mankind’s ignorance of kairoi (appointed) times. In this respect, God made of just one bloodline all nations inhabiting the earth. He, not man, knew this would take six millennia to fulfill. He determined the boundaries that all nations should occupy. Acts 17:26. This verse uses kairos for the divine appointment.

God winked at man’s ignorance. Acts 17:30. This verse uses chronos for time in general. God overlooks four millennia of man’s ignorance during chronos times ... but commands all men to repent because Christ came in the fullness of (chronos) chronological time. Gal.4:4. This verse uses chronos to stress the overall passage of time rather than the appointed time of His advent. The appointed time for His advent was given by Daniel (See Daniel's 70 Sevens).

This same ignorance of Chronos-Time explains why many suggest the Gospel was fully preached to the entire world in Paul’s day! Such a view fails to understand God’s Perspective of the whole time for spreading the Gospel to all the world until the last 3½ Gentile times are fulfilled. Here Luke 21:24 uses Kairoi-Times to focus on the 3½ years that climax (chronoi) Gentile Times. The Endtime and Lastday focus on all things that are about to happen (present tense). Luke 21:36.

Paul concluded his sermon that men are accountable because of Christ's resurrection. God has appointed the very Day He is about to judge the world. Acts 17:31.

***Satan will know the Endtime has begun and that "he has a short time." Rev.12:12-14.

The passage in Rev.12:1-5 describes the conflict between God and Satan 2000 years ago when Satan brought his angels to earth to destroy Christ at birth. Satan’s knowledge of the Endtime must await the passage of more than 1970 Chronoi years since Christ's ascension. Beginning with verse six, we have the flight into the desert which Jesus attributed in the present tense to what is about to happen ... following wars and rumors of wars in the future tense. All Endtime events "about to happen" are referred to from God’s Time Perspective. A thousand years of our time amounts to no more than a single day in God's mind. 2 Pet.3:8.

What is about to happen appears 109 times ... 18 times as an imperfect; 90 times in the present tense and only once in the future tense. Matt.24:6. The KJV translates mello, #3195, as the word "about" only five times out of 90. This obscures God’s perspective of Christ being about to rule all nations from His Ascension in AD 32. Rev.12:5.

What happens in Rev.12:6 does not occur in chronological order within that chapter as the War in Heaven occurs in Rev.12:7-9. Satan knows the Endtime has come as the Woman flees into the desert for 1260 days. The time of her plight is repeated in Rev.12:14 as 3½ times ... Revelation’s only reference to Daniel’s 3½ years. Dan.7:25; Dan.12:7,11. But the 1260 days of Rev.11:3 and Rev.12:6 also link Endtime events to Daniel’s 1290 days!

***Rev.12:6 is therefore placed out of order, chronologically, with what follows in Rev.12:7-13. This occurs for a specific reason. What is about to occur awaits the flight of the remnant into the desert with only 1260 days left.

The action in verse six is inserted initially (then repeated in verse 14) to reveal these 1260 days are the same as the final short period of great tribulation. Satan knows his time is “short” as it occurs within 1290 days prior to Daniel’s resurrection! Rev.12:1,2,11,13. Daniel's prophecy allows 1290 days for the 2nd half of his 70th Seven! Just 1290 days (43x30) remain after deducting 1260 Biblical days (42 months) from 2550 solar days for the first half of his 70th Seven. There are 85 potential 30-day months (85x30=2550). The last days, of 7x365¼=2556¾ days, do not belong to the countdown.

God displayed that 69 Sevens (483 years) were fulfilled to the very day, Palm Sunday, out of 68 solar sevens (476 years from BC 445 to AD 32. See God's Timing). Nisan 9 occurred on Sunday only 69 times during God’s appointed Biblical time from BC 445 to AD 32. If Palm Sunday had occurred in AD 33 instead of AD 32, the Decree of Neh.2:1 would have been Nisan 30, BC 444 instead of BC 445.

***Pre-Endtime signs anticipate the Endtime.

Meditation #4 considered these signs. The state of war between Palestinians and Israelis will precipitate Pre-Endtime and Endtime events. Current movements toward a one-world government generate numerous forecasts regarding the first phase of Revelation’s 7^th World Empire. But this can only be realized under the global rule of Mystery Babylon. Rev.17:18.

*Before the Lawless One can be revealed, Great Babylon must rule. Acts of suicidal terrorists must be conquered by the White Horse Rider. World government cannot exist until today’s terrorists are made subject to the rule of law.

The two Pre-Endtime events of the White Horseman’s conquering activity and the rule of Mystery Babylon precede her fall at the hands of Ten Kings. Her Apostasy, the seven-year Covenant and the building of a Third Temple antedate the 1260-Day Endtime and its Five Catalysts. 2 Thess. 2:3,4; Rev.17:18. The End will be known as Near when the War in Heaven occurs. And when Satan "heals the wound" that Ten Kings inflict upon the symbolic Beast to unseat the Harlot. Then the Beast, personified, comes up from the Abyss. God will use Ten Kings to destroy Babylon and to give their power to the Beast at the same hour. Rev.17:12-18; Rev.18:8-19.

Between Christ’s ascent in Rev.12:5 and the Endtime War in Heaven in Rev.12:7, 1970 years have passed. The woman bore a male son who is about to shepherd (God’s view) all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was seized up to God’s throne in AD 32.

War in Heaven will occur as an Endtime Catalyst. Great Tribulation is required by Daniel’s 1290 Endtime days. Many will be purged, purified and refined until the End of the Age. Rev.12:10-11; Dan.12:10-11. This occurs so that all Believers are worthy of Christ at His Presence. I Thess.3:13.

Jesus encourages the many who survive by promising that only some will taste death (for up to 3½ days) AFTER the Two Prophets finish their Kingdom Power task. They bring plagues upon the earth and torment its people. While, at the same time, they protect and feed 144,000 Jews in the desert. Mark 8:38; Mark 9:1; Rev.11:7,10,11; Rev.12:6,12. These events establish the known period during which Believers’ hopes and expectations of Christ’s return are based on identifiable signs.

They will “know the End is Near because of knowing the Endtime is Here.”
