Meditation #37
THE SEVEN SEALS
2/28/03 - Message #422

With this Meditation, I wish to introduce an orderly study on Lastday events. In order to make its events easier to follow, I have likened them to a "Concentric Castle" with its Outer Path (Moat), beginning with the Decree of Rev.16:17, to represent the river surrounding the entire citadel. A Middle Path (wall around the castle), beginning with Rev.7:9, depicts the Three-Act Drama in the Temple. In an Inner Path (towered-castle), beginning in Rev. 11:19, the Lamb assumes authority from God for heaven's triumphant rejoicing and His glorious descent to gather all the Saints together and establish His Kingdom on earth!

Seal One is already being fulfilled. Many believe the seven Seals wait to be fulfilled after the Rapture of the Church to heaven. They place Seal Six in the days before the great tribulation instead of the days “afterward.” Mark 13:24, Matt.24:29. The least accepted truth: The sign of God’s Day of Wrath begins hours before Christ’s return!

On that Day men recognize that, with the sun turned to darkness, “none can escape.” Unbelievers will be saved on Mt. Zion, in Jerusalem and among earth’s mourning tribes. “Willing to die and begging to escape all these things, they will stand before the Son of Man.” Of  Twosomes, at a mill or in the field, one will be “kept alive and one fed to the birds.” Joel 2:32, Zech.14:16, Luke 21:36, Matt.24:30, Rom.11:26, Luke 17:30-37.

In Escape the Coming Night, P.138,139, David Jeremiah states “the whole world does not need to hear the Gospel before the Rapture.” He assumes the 144,000 Jews will finish the task given in Matt.28:19,20. Instead, they are fed and kept safe in the desert for 1260 days. Jeremiah agrees that countless people coming out of the great tribulation will be saved by the blood of the Lamb. But he denies “a second chance for all who hear the Gospel and fail to believe in Jesus before the Rapture.”

Believers who survive will be saved from physical death on the last day. Matt.24:14. Rescued on Mt. Zion after the sun turns to darkness and the moon to blood, 144,000 Jews will “follow the Lamb.” They sing the Lamb’s song in the presence of God’s throne before the Temple opens in heaven on that last day. Rev.14:1-5, Rev.15:1-5.

Joel’s prophecy for the last days reveals God’s promise to pour out His Spirit on all flesh. This results in the entire Houses of Israel and Judah being saved. It also means the “tribes of earth” who mourn includes the Arabs from Ishmael’s twelve tribes. Millions may bow and beg to stand before the One whom they knew not as God. Heb.8:8-13, Luke 21:36.

In Meditation #36 we noted Peter’s application of the Greek word “Epiphany” from Joel. The Day of the Lord is history’s greatest manifestation of God from heaven. Jesus Christ comes triumphantly. Bringing the Saints with Him and gathering the living from earth, they meet at the Synagogue in the Sky. The Day of the Lord is “glorious.” Mark 13:27, Matt.24:31, I Thess.3:13, I Thess.4:13,14, 2 Thess.2:1, Titus 2:13.

At the end-of-the-age harvest the Son of Man “first reaps the sons of Satan.” Angels “collect and bind” them until they are cast into Hell. Matt.13:30-42. At the one act in Revelation by the Son of Man, the wicked are cast into “the winepress of God’s great anger” just before the Lamb comes with all the Saints. The wicked are literally gathered to The Armageddon before the Lamb opens Seal 6 and before the symbolic reaping of Rev.14:14-19.

After the literal gathering and the symbolic reaping of armies to The Armageddon, God mixes anger with His wrath. Rev.14:10. He mixes both symbolically in the Cup of Wrath and then pours out  its deadly wine literally in Rev.16:19-21 and Rev.19:15. God’s long-suffering anger reaches its highest pitch when the Lamb opens Seal 6 after Plague 7 empties and God Decrees: “It is Done.” Plague 7 remains suspended in midair as 100 verses in Revelation describe the Day that seven classes of men call the Day of God’s wrath as well as the Day of the Lamb’s wrath. That’s why Rev.16:12-17 quickly anticipates the opening of Seal Six in Rev.6:12-17. Both occur before the Tribunal of Seal Seven.

With this background we are ready to trace the Lastday’s three-fold Concentric Path of action in Revelation. Christ will come as a thief. Rev.16:15. Armies gather to The Armageddon. Rev.16:16. The slaughter of two billion people has “passed by” as a great quake kills 7000 in Jerusalem and the Two Prophets arise from death and return to heaven. These spectacular events happen within three days after the 1260 days of “time shall no longer” be subject to an exact countdown. God’s wrath will not come until the 7th Trumpet sounds! Prophetic time ends within 2 to 3 1/2 days before it sounds. Rev.10:6,7, Rev.11:12-14,18.

Three “concentric” paths occur, one within another.   As soon as Plague 7 empties, the Outer Path begins with a Decree coming out of the Temple from the Throne saying: “It is Done; the End has come.” The Middle Path covers the Three-Act Drama within the Temple. The Inner Path connects the Triumph of Trump 7 with heaven’s final scene and Christ’s Epiphany with all the Saints.

To anticipate the Outer Path, a voice comes from the four horns of the golden Altar before God. It commands the 6th Trumpet angel, at an appointed year, month, day and hour to loose 4 angels confined at the river Euphrates. Two billion people are killed in that hour. The 6th Bowl Plague angel pours out his vial to dry up the great river. Trump 6 and Plague 6 show the kings of the East crossing over for the great day of the battle of God the Almighty. Rev.9:13-15, Rev.16:12-14,16.

The armies on horses, with heads like lions belching fire, smoke and sulfur, lay waste to a quarter of the earth (Seal 4 with Trump 6). Their tails, with heads like snakes, injure people. These plagues kill two billion people at God’s “appointed year, month, day and hour”! Survivors continue to worship demons and don’t repent of murders, witchcraft, thefts and immorality. The Beast kills the Two Prophets and the Evil Trio plans to destroy Israel. Two or three days remain for the last Martyr to die. Rev.9:13-14, Rev.6:9-11.

Here Jesus’ final message calls on Believers to watch and stay dressed. Like a thief, the Epiphany of His Presence occurs on one of 3 days the Two Prophets may lie dead. With the countdown days ended and millions invading Israel, no one knows which day after the Two Prophets are killed that the Lord will come; for “time shall be no longer in the days the 7th Trumpet is about to sound.” Rev.10:6,7.  In the Outer Path the Lamb rescues the “Firstfruits of Harvest” and reaps the wicked to the winepress of God’s “great anger” (The New Jerusalem Bible).

In the Middle Path, a great quake in Jerusalem kills 7000 men of names in the same hour the Two Prophets rise up to heaven.  They join in the Temple Drama after the Plagues have “exhausted God’s anger,” Seal 6 has opened and the Temple has cleared of the smoke of God’s power and glory. Uncountable numbers of Saints come out of great tribulation to praise God and the Lamb. They witness the Court’s evidence against the wicked and watch Christ being crowned as King of kings. With His coronation and with God's wrath having come, it is “the appointed time to judge and reward the Saints and destroy the wicked.” Rev.11:18.

The third concentric Inner Path begins with the Ark of the Covenant being seen in Rev.11:19 and it climaxes at Rev.19:11. Heaven opens. Christ descends to make War and bring righteous Judgment upon the earth! All survivors who call on the name of the Lord become subjects of God’s iron-like Millennial rule.
